(May 15, 2026) – Safe Kids Kansas has released a new flyer and poster to help expecting parents prepare for their baby's arrival in the weeks leading up to delivery.
The "Before Baby Arrives" resource highlights nine key topics to support family readiness and healthy beginnings. The materials also include QR codes linking families to additional education, community support and helpful services, including the Kansas Tobacco Quitline.
The flyer and poster are currently available as downloadable PDFs on the Safe Kids Kansas website, and laminated poster versions are expected soon. At this time, materials are available in English, with additional language options under consideration to improve accessibility for families across Kansas.
Health care providers, community organizations and family support programs are encouraged to share these resources with the families they serve to promote safe, healthy preparation for the baby's arrival.
