Infectious Disease Preparedness 2026 ECHO

Project ECHO (Jan. 16, 2025) – Four sessions remain of the Infectious Disease Preparedness 2026 ECHO. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment and The University of Kansas Health System have teamed up to provide Infectious Disease Preparedness 2026 ECHO: Game Plan for Health! This weekly series discusses infectious diseases related to both domestic and foreign travel, in preparation for the FIFA 2026 World Cup™ coming to Kansas City. The no-cost educational series runs from noon to 1:00 p.m. each day, continuing every Tuesday through Feb. 10. The first session was on Jan. 13.

As part of the presentation, KDHE's Bureau of Epidemiology and Public Health Informatics shared a Travel & Health page and a Weekly-Domestic-and-International-Infectious-Disease-Report from its website. The information can be very helpful now for monitoring seasonal and other illness activity, and later in the year, with the upcoming FIFA 2026 World Cup™. Check out the new information.

Please share with your clinical teams, as the target audience includes emergency department clinicians, public health professionals, urgent care providers, pharmacists, medical residents, and nurses. Continuing education credits will be provided for these professional.
