(June 20, 2025) – Does your hospital have IT team members who could benefit from upskilling? Or are you looking to hire new IT staff who may need foundational training? Two registered apprenticeship programs, Customer Service Tech Support and IT Generalist, are now available to Kansas health care employers at no cost for the next three years.
Each program includes 150 hours of flexible coursework designed to prepare workers for essential IT roles. Through Kansas' health care apprenticeship intermediary, TalentGro, hospitals can access these programs and related support services without cost.
As a reminder, these opportunities are made possible through dedicated funding via the Kansas Apprenticeship Act, which supports hospitals to "apprentice" up to 20 employees per EIN per year for advancement training and covers the costs of intermediary assistance.
