(Sept. 25, 2026) – The Kansas Nursing Workforce Center has developed the Kansas Nursing School Guide, a comprehensive resource designed to help prospective nursing students explore nursing careers and identify nursing schools that best fit their goals and interests.
Created through the Kansas Nursing Pathways Project and funded by the Kansas Board of Regents, the guide is intended to assist prospective students, families and guidance counselors in making informed decisions about nursing education opportunities in Kansas, with the aim of increasing the number of students pursuing nursing education in Kansas and strengthening the state's nursing workforce. The guide helps students learn more about themselves and matches them with possible nursing education pathways. It includes valuable information such as:
- An introduction to nursing careers;
- Important factors to consider when choosing a nursing school;
- Information about nursing degree options and educational pathways;
- Kansas nursing workforce statistics;
- Helpful resources for students and families; and
- A comprehensive list of all Kansas nursing schools.
