Healthcare Response to Human Trafficking Webinar – July 30

Human Trafficking (June 12, 2026) – Human trafficking is a growing public health crisis affecting more than one million individuals in the United States and an estimated 50 million people worldwide. Although victims often interact with health care providers during their exploitation, fewer than one percent are identified. Join the American Organization for Nursing Leadership on July 30 for Healthcare Response to Human Trafficking, a webinar that explores the critical role health care professionals play in recognizing and responding to human trafficking. Participants will learn to identify common indicators seen in emergency departments, clinics and community health care settings, understand barriers to identification and care and explore trauma-informed approaches that support victims and survivors. This educational opportunity is open to both members and non-members and provides practical strategies that can be applied in health care settings across Kansas and beyond.
