CMS Issues CY 2026 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Correction Notice
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services issued a correction notice regarding the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule for calendar year 2026. The errors are mostly typographical and technical. The corrections are retroactive to Jan. 1.

CMS Provides Guidance to Strengthen Organ Donation Patient Protections and Accountability
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released new guidance "to strengthen public trust and ensure patients and their families are treated with dignity and care throughout the organ donation process." The guidance reinforces safeguards through a Quality, Safety and Oversight memo and a State Operations Manual appendix update. CMS also will continue to strengthen oversight of the Organ Procurement Organizations and donor hospitals.
