(Nov. 21, 2025) – CMS Releases Final Guidance for Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program 2028
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has released final guidance for the third cycle of the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program. The rule expands protections for orphan drugs, integrates Medicare Advantage data into drug selection and clarifies vaccine eligibility under negotiation. Negotiations will occur in 2026, with new prices taking effect Jan. 1, 2028. Up to 15 additional drugs will be announced for potential negotiation by Feb. 1, 2026. CMS Releases CY 2026 Medicare Parts A and B Premiums and Deductibles
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released the calendar year 2026 deductibles and coinsurance amounts for Medicare Part A and Part B. CMS also released the income-related monthly adjustment amounts, which determine Part B premium rates.
