The University of Kansas is sponsoring a fall 2025 Tobacco Treatment Specialist Training Aug. 4 to Oct. 20. The training course is designed to give providers skills and knowledge to integrate tobacco treatment into their practice and become tobacco prevention and treatment advocates. The training is online and requires approximately 14 to 18 hours to complete and will conclude with 8 hours of virtual skills training. The target audience for the training includes physicians and advanced practice providers, nurses, behavioral health counselors, social workers, respiratory therapists, peer support specialists and community health workers.
