(June 19, 2026) – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment Bureau of Facilities and Licensing has been fielding questions from speech therapists regarding supervision requirements during fluoroscopy. They asked that KHA provide clarification to our members. As a reminder, per
Kansas Administrative Regulation 28-34-12(p), "Fluoroscopy shall be conducted by or under the direct supervision of a physician." There is concern that this test is being performed without the appropriate physician supervision. Please reach out to Larry Van Der Wege at
