Healthworks has a 13-member board of directors. KHA is the sole member of Healthworks. The directors are KHA members and others who support the vision and values of the Foundation. Since 1969, Healthworks has played an important role in helping KHA achieve its mission and vision.

KHSC Board Meeting - May 26

KHSC is a wholly owned subsidiary of KHA. Therefore, a secondary objective of KHSC is to support KHA in meeting its mission of serving hospitals. Its mission is to provide enhanced value to KHA members by evaluating and endorsing selected vendors of services needed by the KHA membership. KHSC will be a valuable resource to Kansas healthcare facilities and the Kansas Hospital Association as they serve their constituents.

KHA Board Retreat - May 27-29

KHA has a 21-member board of directors. They meet at least five times a year. Each board member holds three-year terms, with a two-term limit. The board has a composition of members from all geographic areas of Kansas all sizes and types of member hospitals are represented. The board also includes two hospital trustees and two physician members. Other participants include the American Hospital Association delegate.

Healthworks for newsletters (May 22, 2026) – Having an AI policy is crucial because it provides a framework for managing risks, ensuring ethical deployment and fostering trust in rapidly evolving environments. Join Healthworks for two interactive webinars on AI policy development. The June 12 session will cover foundational topics, including key AI concepts and terminology. The June 30 session will build on that information and provide a comprehensive overview of AI management and implementation. Both webinars will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. and will be led by experts from the Kansas Health Institute.
