(Oct. 10, 2025) – This week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
announced it has adopted the CDC's
Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations to implement shared decision-making for COVID-19 vaccination for adults and children aged six months and older. The CDC also accepted ACIP's recommendation that toddlers receive protection from varicella (chickenpox) as a standalone immunization, rather than in combination with the measles, mumps and rubella vaccination.
Adult and child immunization schedules are currently being revised on
cdc.gov.
