Broadband Informational Webinar – Sept. 22

KansasBroadband (Sept. 4, 2026) – The Kansas Health-e Broadband Consortium will host an informational webinar at 2 p.m. on Sept. 22. Healthworks created the consortium to enable our members to access subsidies as a group and to contract with Federal Funding Group. FFG is a consulting firm based in Evergreen, Colorado, with deep expertise in the Healthcare Connect Fund and is a tremendous asset in providing services to our members. Join us to learn more about site and service eligibility. Information will be shared on timelines for the FY 2026 funding window and any program changes. Below are a few key highlights of the program:

The HCF provides a 65 percent discount on broadband services and equipment.
A consortium may receive a three-year funding commitment. Individual applicants must be approved annually.
Additional funds may become available for costs such as construction that are not available to individual applicants.
Urban hospitals are allowed to access the 65 percent discount if they are a part of the consortium. They cannot access the discounts as individual applicants.

As a member of the consortium, our goal is to help hospitals maximize their savings while enhancing services at their facilities. This webinar will be a step toward achieving this goal.
