Beliefs, Attitudes and Facts: Understanding Addiction – Jan. 7 Training
(Dec. 12, 2025) – DCCCA, a Kansas-based substance use disorder treatment center, is hosting a free, one-day, interactive event where participants will learn about beliefs and attitudes related to SUD and explore how substance use affects friends and family members of those with SUD. The session will also address the stigma surrounding substance use and its link to mental health. The workshop will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at KUMC Wichita – Sunflower Room, 1010 N. Kansas St., Wichita, KS 67214. Lunch will be provided. Continuing medical education and continuing education units are available for attendees. The target audience includes health care professionals, peers involved in integrated behavioral health systems, educators, law enforcement officials, faith leaders, youth-serving organizations, parents and child welfare professionals.
