(June 19, 2026) – KHA is pleased to partner with DCCCA to cohost a webinar: At the Crossroads of Crisis: The Intersection of Substance Use Disorder and Intimate Partner Violence from 1 to 2 p.m. on June 25.
By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:
- Identify how an abusive partner may utilize substances as a method to gain coercive control;
- Understand the impact that abuse and trauma can have on substance use addiction.
- Identify three prevention strategies that empower survivors to help prevent substance misuse, increase safety, and aid in recovery efforts.
Continuing education credit will be offered to physicians, nurses, behavioral health professionals and social workers at no cost.
