(Aug. 14, 2026) – The American Hospital Association has developed the
Economic Impact of Disparities in Health Outcomes Resource Guide. The guide is intended to highlight the financial impacts and considerations of health disparities by helping leaders identify and quantify the economic burden of disparities. With the resource guide, hospitals will be able to build the business case for addressing disparities, strengthen organizational infrastructure to identify, measure and track disparities, use data to inform the design of impactful interventions and sustain progress toward reducing and eliminating disparities.
