(Jan. 23, 2025) –
The Nurses Honor Guard offers a meaningful way for nurses to honor the life, service and professional legacy of a colleague at the end of their journey. Through a respectful ceremonial tribute, rooted in nursing tradition, participating nurses provide comfort to families while recognizing the shared commitment and compassion that define the profession. Involvement in the Honor Guard is both a privilege and a powerful reminder of the bond nurses share across roles, settings and generations. Nurses are encouraged to participate in this important service as a way to give back to the profession and uphold its enduring values of respect, dignity and service.
