The Kansas City Metropolitan Healthcare Council is a policy division of The Health Alliance of MidAmerica. Formerly known as the Greater Kansas City Health Council, it works with local hospitals on areas of collective interest.

KHELSA provides networking, support and education for persons involved in the many facets of housekeeping and laundry for health care institutions. By sponsoring statewide educational programs, members stay informed about management issues, as well as housekeeping and laundry issues.

Region 7 Center for Disease Control Center Listening Sessions

UNMC Logo (Oct. 17, 2025) – The University of Nebraska Medical Center, supported by the University of Iowa, is the Region 7 (Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska) CDC's Center for Emergency Readiness. The center focuses on rural and frontier communities and older adults. They are hosting upcoming listening sessions to provide education about the Center, explore necessary tools and support and gather feedback from participants. See below for the three dates, times and registration links to participate and share with your emergency preparedness team.
