Beliefs, Attitudes and Facts: Understanding Addiction Training Event

(Oct. 24, 2025) – DCCCA, a Kansas-based substance use disorder treatment center, is hosting a free, one-day, interactive event where participants will learn about beliefs and attitudes related to SUD and explore how substance use impacts friends and family of those with SUD. The session will also cover the stigma surrounding substance use and its connection to mental health. The workshop will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 6 at KUMC Wichita – Sunflower Room, 1010 N. Kansas St., Wichita, KS 67214. Lunch will be provided. Continuing medical education and continuing education units are available for attendees. The target audience includes health care professionals, peers involved in integrated behavioral health systems, educators, law enforcement officials, faith leaders, youth-serving organizations, parents and child welfare professionals.
