KHA Legislative Dinner - Nov. 4

We are excited to offer the membership the opportunity to discuss some of the challenges and opportunities at your hospitals with policymakers. This year, we are excited to host legislative dinners throughout the state featuring interactive conversations about hospital challenges.

KHA Board Meeting - Nov. 5

KHA has a 21-member board of directors. They meet at least five times a year. Each board member holds three-year terms, with a two-term limit. The board has a composition of members from all geographic areas of Kansas all sizes and types of member hospitals are represented. The board also includes two hospital trustees and two physician members. Other participants include the American Hospital Association delegate.

Sunflower Health Network Board Meeting - Nov. 6

The Sunflower Health Network is a not-for-profit organization that consists of 26 counties located primarily in North Central and North West Kansas. Sunflower Health Network's (SHN) specific purpose is to improve the population's health status. The 26 member hospitals, in conjunction with their medical staff, have developed a network that fosters cooperation and coordination. The priority has been to enhance the integration of health-related services among the SHN member communities.

Pioneer Health Network - KHA Workforce Roundtable - Nov. 6

The goal of this event is to evaluate the current health care workforce landscape and facilitate new conversations that build on progress and explore further opportunities for advancement.

Today, the Kansas House took final votes on a long list of legislation and looks to continue their work into the evening.

Senate Debates and Passes Bills
Today, the Kansas Senate debated a long list of bills that were before their chamber and will continue to work throughout tomorrow.

First Veto Override of the Legislative Session
Today, the Senate took up SB 63. The legislation, previously vetoed by Governor Laura Kelly, saw a motion to override the veto that passed the Senate on a vote of 31-9, and in the House on a vote of 84-35.

(Oct. 13, 2025) - Healthworks is pleased to announce the successful completion of the 24th Annual Health Care Scholarship Program. Healthworks partnered with the Kansas Hospital Human Resources Association and the Kansas Association of Health Care Executives to provide 26 scholarships totaling $36,000.
