(Jan. 22, 2025) – Today, the Kansas Hospital Association hosted its annual Advocacy Day in Topeka. The day drew nearly 150 health care advocates, who heard from legislative leaders, including:
- House Majority Leader Chris Croft
- Senate Minority Leader Dinah Sykes
- Senate Majority Leader Chase Blasi
The group also heard from former Transportation Secretary Julie Lorenz, who discussed how the transportation sector leveraged national rankings to build long-term advocacy initiatives. In addition, a panel of former legislators offered attendees tips and tricks for successful advocacy. Lunch at the statehouse with state representatives and senators followed the morning education session.
