House Insurance Holds Bill Hearing on Dental Bill Sets Upcoming Hospital Bill Hearings
(Feb. 11, 2026) – Today, the House Insurance Committee held a hearing on House Bill 2564, which authorizes a dental provider to elect alternative payment methods and allows such a method to remain in effect for the term of a contract with a dental health plan.
The committee is scheduled to meet Friday to hold hearings on the following bills:
House Bill 2736 requires hospitals to screen all patients for eligibility for the hospital's financial assistance program or charity care policy.
House Bill 2703 enacts the Kansas Health Insurance Affordability Transparency Act, which requires a report detailing the financial impact on covered individuals resulting from the passage of specific health insurance legislation.
The committee has also announced a hearing on Monday, Feb. 16, on House Bill 2550, which would require certain 340B entities to report annually to the Kansas Department of Insurance on certain costs, savings and payments made under the federal 340B Drug Pricing Program.
