(Feb. 11, 2026) – Today, the House Higher Education Budget Committee worked
House Bill 2374. The legislation establishes the Specialty Practice Student Loan Program and the Specialty Practice Student Loan Repayment Fund, authorizes transfers from the OB-GYN and Psychiatry Medical Student Loan Repayment Funds to the Specialty Practice Student Loan Repayment Fund, and abolishes the OB-GYN and Psychiatry Medical Student Loan Repayment Funds. The bill was amended with technical date updates and was recommended favorably for passage. The bill will now go to the full House for review.
