House Health and Human Services Committee Hears Remote Pharmacy Bill

(March 10, 2026) – Today, the House Health and Human Services Committee held a hearing on Senate Bill 431. The bill establishes the remote practice of pharmacy, requires certain conditions for such practice and limits activities performed under such practice.

The committee heard from two proponent conferees:

  • John Monroe of the Kansas Association of Chain Drug Stores; and
  • Alexandra Blasi of the Kansas Board of Pharmacy.

The committee also recommended favorably, Senate Bill 448, which permits the use of expedited partner therapy to treat a sexually transmitted disease. The bill will now go to full House.

The committee will meet again tomorrow.
