(March 4, 2026) – Today, the House Health and Human Services Committee held hearings on Senate Bill 430, which permits licensed physical therapists to perform certain capillary blood tests.
Proponent testimony was given by Jennifer Caswell and Chris Deck, both from the American Physical Therapy Association.
Opposition testimony was given by Susan Gile from the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts, Danielle Vequist as a private citizen and Travis Oiler from the Kansas Chiropractic Association.
The committee indicated they will work the bill tomorrow.
