House Commerce Recommends Nurse Educators and Housing Bills

Nurses in School (March 9, 2026) – Today,  the House Committee on Commerce recommended two bills favorably for passage, including Senate Bill 418, which enacts the By-Right Housing Development Act to provide a streamlined permit approval process for housing developments, requiring political subdivisions to allow certain building provisions for single-family residences of a certain size. The committee amended and recommended favorably for passage.

The committee also made no changes and recommended Senate Bill 334 favorably for passage. The bill changes education requirements for nursing instructors at nursing schools as a requirement for state approval.
