(May 2026) – As part of the technical assistance provided to Kansas Hospital Association members through Kansas governWell, our governWell team can administer strategic planning survey questions on behalf of the hospital, prepare a written report and provide a virtual briefing. There is no fee to Kansas hospital for these services.

Hospitals may use the exact questions included in KHA's Sample Strategic Planning Survey Questions resource or work with governWell to customize a few additional questions. A four-week lead time is required to administer the survey and prepare the written report.

Our governWell team will work with hospital leadership to finalize the survey and prepare a confidential online link for distribution to board members, staff leadership, and/or medical staff. If the board assessment questions are selected, governWell will create a separate version for the board that includes both the strategic planning questions and the board assessment questions.

If onsite strategic planning assistance is requested, governWell will charge a preferred client fee plus travel expenses, based on meeting length and the scope of additional services. A portion of this fee may be offset through the Kansas governWell program to ensure high value and the most affordable cost.
