(July 23, 2025) – The 2025 Kansas Hospital Association Annual Convention and Trade Show kicks off bright and early at 7:15 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 4, with the KHA Political Advocacy and Grassroots Breakfast. This year's speaker, Pete Davis, will present Purposeful Commitment in an Age of Infinite Browsing: How to Foster Real Civic Engagement for Stronger Communities and a Healthier Democracy—an inspiring look at how commitment and action can strengthen both civic life and health care.
At 9:45 a.m., the convention’s keynote speaker, Ryan Campbell, will deliver his powerful presentation, What's Your Pink Cadillac? sharing lessons of resilience and mental health from his life as the youngest solo pilot to fly around the world—and the journey through trauma that followed.
At 10:55 a.m., Janine Stange will present How You Made Them Feel: A Daughter's Perspective—a moving tribute to the impact of caregivers through a deeply personal lens.
Schedule Update: Please note a change to this year's schedule. The KHA/HVK Luncheon and Allied Organizations Luncheons have been rescheduled for Thursday, Sept. 4, and the KHA Awards Luncheon will take place on Friday, Sept. 5.
At noon, all convention attendees are invited to participate in the KHA/HVK Luncheon and Allied Organizations Luncheons, a valuable networking opportunity with hospital and allied leaders from across Kansas (ticket required). Membership in an allied organization is not required to attend.
Next, at 2 p.m., Kyle Scheele will take the stage with Becoming an Idea Factory, breaking down the myth that creativity is a rare gift and showing how anyone can unlock innovation through practical, learnable habits.
Be sure to explore the Trade Show, opening at 3:00 p.m., showcasing a full floor of exhibitors and innovation. Stick around for the Trade Show Reception, beginning at 4:30 p.m., where snacks, drinks and networking await right on the show floor.
Then, join us for the top-secret KHA Party at 6:30 p.m., Sept. 4! With games, food, drinks and prizes, this fun-filled event, made possible by our generous hospitality agents, including APS, is free for all attendees. It's a perfect way to unwind and connect.
