Sam Lane changed how people think about hospital food at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital. Starting as Dietary Production Lead and later becoming Director of Support Services, he raised standards for patient meals, cafeteria service and internal catering. Under his leadership, the cafeteria has become a community favorite and a point of pride. Lane also advanced innovation through an ultraviolet room sanitizer, electronic food temperature system and point-of-sale system. His focus on quality, teamwork and comfort has improved both patient satisfaction and community perception.
