Paul Luce leaves a legacy of servant leadership built over 28 years at Paola Hospital and 44 years in health care. Beginning as a nursing manager, he became director of nursing and then administrator, leading with humility, transparency and patient-centered purpose. His earlier experience directing trauma services and an air ambulance program shaped his calm, decisive approach. Luce guided staff through major transitions, including integration into The University of Kansas Health System, while ensuring teams felt heard, respected and supported.
