Janie Schmidt, Director of Nursing at Greeley County Health Services models dedication, compassion and servant leadership. Despite her leadership title, Schmidt is often the hardest-working nurse in the building—filling in shifts, assisting as a CNA, riding in ambulances, washing scopes, managing ER calls and supporting OR recovery. She balances strategic thinking with hands-on care, ensuring both organizational stability and exceptional patient outcomes. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Schmidt manages pharmacy operations, scheduling, emergency services and EMR development—personally guiding staff through transitions and workflows. Her efforts have helped drive patient satisfaction scores to remarkable heights.
