In this session, Opal Greenway, principal at Stroudwater and nationally recognized expert in provider strategy and compensation, will explore how hospital boards can support effective alignment with clinicians while navigating key strategic and regulatory considerations.
Drawing on more than a decade of experience advising hospitals, health systems, and physicians, Greenway will discuss how governance can influence provider engagement, fair market value, and compensation structures. Attendees will gain insights into current challenges and best practices for board-level oversight of medical staff relationships, compensation strategy, and organizational alignment.
Speaker Biography
Opal Greenway is a health care and finance professional with over a decade of experience advising physicians, hospitals, and health systems on provider strategy, alignment, and operations. She specializes in physician practices, ambulatory development, compensation, valuation, and regulatory compliance. Since joining Stroudwater in 2015, Opal has become recognized for her ability to align clinicians and executives through strategic facilitation and is frequently called upon as an expert witness and advisor.
Opal holds a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University. She is a Certified Valuation Analyst and a founding member of WRHEN. Outside of work, she’s active in the fitness community as a CrossFit coach and youth trainer. She lives in Nashville with her husband, son and three dogs.
