Is it possible that the approval of the 1115 waiver be delayed by HHS?
Yes.
However, Kansas officials have stated that the 1115 waiver submitted by the state is similar to other waivers that have been approved by HHS. Other states that have used similar models include Texas, Tennessee, Michigan, Kentucky and Pennsylvania.
