Kansas is committed to investing in health information technology and health information exchanges as a primary initiative to improve health care quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of patient-centric health care for all Kansans.
The primary goal of health information exchange is to enable health care stakeholders to share data for coordinating patient care and to support public entities in achieving their population health goals.

The Kansas Health-e Broadband is a consortium of Kansas health care organizations joining together for the purposes of developing and maintaining a dedicated broadband network.
The use of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS applies to all "Covered Entities," that transmit electronic health information in connection with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act transaction standards.

Join us for a KHA Noon Briefing on Friday, Dec. 14, when KHA will share the summary as well as information on two nurse residency programs available to nurses working in Kansas hospitals. Our presenters, Joyce Mattison and Shari Hertel, HaysMed, part of The University of Kansas Health System, will share information on Hays in-person program. In addition, Nicole Weathers, The University of Iowa College of Nursing, will present its online residency program.
