(June 12, 2020) – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment shared an updated remdesivir distribution plan
this week. The updated distribution plan includes a revised process for ordering remdesivir from the state. The orders must be placed through the County Emergency Managers. Also included in KDHE's plan is the required information to be submitted when requesting remdesivir for a patient. A shipment of remdesivir was sent to hospitals this past week. Kansas hospitals that received remdesivir were to be contacted by KDHE staff to let them know when the shipment would be arriving. After this week's shipment, The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services advised there will be one more teletracking data request in June to support the final remdesivir donated supply shipment in late June / early July.
