(Nov. 25, 2022) – I hope you were able to take time this week to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. For me and many others, this week is full of gratitude for our families, our friends, our health and many other things. At the Kansas Hospital Association, one of those "many other things" we are thankful for is the work our members do to serve their communities.
While this is a short workweek for many people, we know many of your team members will be working during the holiday to care for Kansans. We at the Kansas Hospital Association would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to the countless health care professionals who unselfishly sacrifice themselves to care for our family, friends and those who are the most vulnerable among us.
Each person working in a Kansas hospital is a blessing! The compassionate care provided by employees and volunteers at Kansas hospitals is truly inspiring as this commitment, at all staff levels, occurs 24 hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days a year.
We also appreciate the tremendous leadership and support provided by Kansas hospital leaders. We at KHA are especially thankful to be able to represent Kansas hospitals, the cornerstones in nearly every Kansas community. We see firsthand how hospitals, despite all of the challenges encountered, are continuing to meet the needs of Kansas communities on a daily basis.
Happy Thanksgiving from a grateful KHA staff!
