Kansas Overdose Data to Action Funding Opportunity
KDHE (Aug. 21, 2020) – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment's Overdose Prevention Program is requesting proposals from organizations to apply for funding to support projects that address prevention of the opioid overdose crisis in Kansas. Projects must be evidence-based and data-driven; and designed to reduce the incidence of opioid misuse and abuse, opioid use disorder, and opioid-involved morbidity and mortality through the implementation of community-based prevention strategies. Proposal submission deadline is Sept. 18, 2020. It is anticipated that funding awards will be announced by Sept. 28, 2020 via email. The project period is anticipated to start on Oct. 19, 2020, and it will end on Aug. 31, 2021. Applicants may request up to $25,000.00 for the project period (Oct. 19, 2020 – Aug. 31, 2021). It is anticipated that five to ten organizations will be selected and funded through this initiative, with awards ranging from $10,000.00 to $25,000.00 per organization.
