KHA Seeks Candidates for Vice President, Health Care Finance and Reimbursement
(Aug. 21, 2020) – As Tom Bell noted in his President's Perspective on Aug. 7, Tish Hollingsworth will be retiring from her position with Kansas Hospital Association in January 2021. As such, KHA is seeking candidates to fill the position, vice president, health care finance and reimbursement. Ideally, the chosen candidate will be on board late in 2020 to allow for some overlap in the transition.
This position, which reports to the vice president of government relations, represents and advocates on behalf of KHA in local, state and national venues on issues related to health care reimbursement, including commercial payers, the State Medicaid Agency, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on both the regional office, as well as the central office, and the American Hospital Association. Other facets of this position include researching and analyzing issues and proposals from CMS, the State of Kansas, and other agencies regarding health care finance.
