K-State Research and Extension Offers Grant Writing Workshops

KStateLogo (Oct. 2, 2020) – Want to know the ins and outs of grant writing? Grants are a great way to get funds for your community, and experts at K-State's Research and Extension will teach you the best ways to get them! K-State is offering one more in-person grant writing workshop, Nov. 5, in Yates Center. Workshop participants will learn about new sources of data to document their community's need, sources of grant funding, how to develop a grant budget and how to evaluate and report success. By working together in groups, you will gain new support networks, lose fear about asking for money and get feedback to sharpen your skills.

Participants at grant workshops reported:

  • Having greater confidence in:
    • writing a successful grant
    • evaluating and measuring grant success and
    • writing a grant budget.
  • Learning new sources of data to document community need and finding grants.
