(July 3, 2020) – This week, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced hospitals must report into TeleTracks to qualify for the latest Remdesivir distributions. The first deadline is 7 p.m. CST on Monday, July 6. The next deadline will be 7 p.m. CST on Monday, July 20. It is anticipated that this cycle will reoccur every two weeks until the end of September, occurring every other Monday to inform allocation of the medicine.
Hospitals should log into the COVID-19 Web Portal using the same login information used previously. Once logged in, hospitals must provide the current number of hospitalized coronavirus patients, and of those admissions, the number of currently hospitalized patients requiring placement in an intensive care unit.
The Kansas Hospital Association understands the frustration with these reporting requests and are working with both the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and HHS on ways to reduce confusion, burden and redundancies relative to COVID-19 reporting.
