Connect with Your Local Schools During the Virtual Career Fair

Career Fair (March 24, 2023) – The Kansas Chamber, Kansas Hospital Association and Kansas State Department of Education are hosting a Virtual Health Care Career Day on Wednesday, April 19. The event will inform students about what it takes to become a health care professional and connect them with employers.

The virtual career day will take students "inside" Kansas hospitals for a first-hand look into what it's like to be a health care professional. They will watch career-focused videos featuring those who provide care to patients. A question-and-answer session also will engage students in real-world learning.

There are no costs for students or schools to register for the career fair. It is open to all grade levels. The agenda for the Virtual Health Care Career Day highlights a variety of career fields. KHA staff have created a list of ideas to help members engage with their local high school during the career fair. KHA staff will be reaching out to hospitals to let them know if their school district is participating. We encourage all of our members to partner with their local schools on this event.

This statewide, virtual event also offers hospitals and other health care providers, as well as state universities and tech colleges, the opportunity to raise their brand awareness among the thousands of students, educators and career counselors expected to attend.
