CDC Updates Interim Infection Prevention and Control Recommendations
CDC (July 17, 2020) – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated their interim infection prevention and control recommendations for health care personnel on July 15 to add language that protective eyewear (e.g., safety glasses, trauma glasses) with gaps between glasses and the face likely do not protect eyes from all splashes and sprays. This CDC guidance is applicable to all U.S. health care settings and is not intended for non-health care settings (e.g., schools) OR for persons outside of health care settings.
