Advocacy Workshops Via Zoom Focus on KanCare Expansion

Health Alliance  (June 26, 2020) – The Alliance for a Healthy Kansas is a statewide coalition working throughout Kansas, encouraging people and organizations to promote policies that ensure everyone has the opportunity to attain their highest level of health. The Kansas Hospital Association has been an active partner in the Alliance, which has focused on expanding KanCare to cover more Kansans. The Alliance is hosting a series of advocacy training workshops in July. These Zoom workshops will provide attendees with the tools to talk to their networks and community leaders about KanCare expansion in anticipation of the upcoming elections. Dr. Lee Norman, secretary of the Department of Health and Environment, has graciously agreed to provide a video for the meetings that highlights the Kelly administration's continued commitment to passing KanCare expansion legislation next Session. July 2 — Leavenworth and Lansing
July 7 — Hutchison
July 9 — Parsons
July 14 — Topeka
July 15 — Iola
July 16 — Wichita
July 21 — Tonganoxie and Baldwin City
July 23 — Pratt
July 28 — Salina
July 30 — Johnson County
