340B Program HRSA Recertification Deadline: Sept. 14
(Sept. 4, 2020) – 340B covered entities must annually recertify their eligibility to remain in the 340B Drug Pricing Program. The Health Resources and Services Administration recertification period for hospitals began Aug. 17 and runs until Sept. 14, 2020. As of Sept. 1, only 65 percent of Critical Access Hospitals have recertified.
Prior to being able to recertify, authorizing officials and primary contacts must set up a user account in the 340B Office of Pharmacy Affairs Information System. Failure to set up user accounts will result in not being able to view accounts or conduct recertification; thus, removal from the 340B Program. AOs and PCs must create individual user accounts; they will not be able to share access. All active 340B IDs associated with an AO's user account must be updated in order for recertification to be completed by the established deadline.
It is the responsibility of the covered entity to ensure they have created their accounts and updated contact information for all sites prior to recertification to allow successful completion.
