An Opportunity for Rural Kansas Hospitals
RuralHealth (May 8, 2020) – Mirror, a state-wide behavioral health provider, is inviting rural hospitals in Kansas to join in a project to expand treatment for substance use disorder cases. Mirror is seeking a major grant to fund a new service that would provide emergency SUD assessments to patients presenting to rural emergency departments, followed by an opportunity for residential and/or outpatient addiction treatment services. Mirror hopes to find rural hospitals, especially those in northern and southwestern Kansas, interested in such a program and willing to be part of a pilot effort in the state. There would be no cost to hospitals that choose to participate. For more information or to express interest, contact Kerri Burr, program coordinator, at (316) 706-6863, no later than May 29, 2020.
