(May 8, 2020) – Mirror, a state-wide behavioral health provider, is inviting rural hospitals in Kansas to join in a project to expand treatment for substance use disorder cases. Mirror is seeking a major grant to fund a new service that would provide emergency SUD assessments to patients presenting to rural emergency departments, followed by an opportunity for residential and/or outpatient addiction treatment services. Mirror hopes to find rural hospitals, especially those in northern and southwestern Kansas, interested in such a program and willing to be part of a pilot effort in the state. There would be no cost to hospitals that choose to participate. For more information or to express interest, contact Kerri Burr
, program coordinator, at (316) 706-6863, no later than May 29, 2020.
