The Kansas Senate Passes Rural Emergency Hospital Bill
RuralHealth (March 3, 2021) – Yesterday, the Kansas Senate passed Senate Bill 175 on a vote of 39-0. The legislation, brought before the Legislature by the Kansas Hospital Association, creates a rural emergency hospital designation to mirror the recently created federal label. The bill now goes to the House for further review, but the passage by the chamber of origin means the legislation can be further discussed as the legislative session progresses.
