Legislature Returns for Veto Session
KansasCapitol (April 25, 2022) – Today, the Kansas Legislature returns to Topeka to complete the veto session. The Legislature is likely to work through the items previously vetoed by Governor Laura Kelly, in addition to assembling the final omnibus budget package. While other topics can continue to be discussed by the Legislature, the chambers will also be looking to address tax policy changes, the 988 mental health crisis hotline, and K-12 education funding before they look to set the Sine Die date for the 2022 legislative session.
