With so much decided, many may wonder what is exactly on the ballot for the General Elections? All of the congressional seats, the statewide offices, and the Kansas House, with one State Senate race up for election. Additionally, two constitutional amendments, one regarding the legislature's oversight of the rules and regulations process, and another related to the elections of Sheriffs in Kansas.

Below are the breakdowns:

In statewide races:

  • Incumbent Governor/Lt. Governor Laura Kelly/David Toland will face Derek Schmidt/Katie Sawyer on the republican side, in addition to the likely independent ticket Dennis Pyle/Kathleen Garrison.
  • Kansas Attorney General candidate Kris Kobach will go up against Chris Mann.
  • Kansas State Treasurer Lynn Rogers will face either Steven Johnson or Caryn Tyson, depending on the outcome of that still very close race.
  • Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt will face challenger Kiel Corkran.

One of the state senate races will have a special general election due to the death of former Senator Bud Estes (R-Dodge City). That race will have Ron Ryckman, Sr. (R-Meade), against challenger Jose Lara (D-Liberal).

61 of the 125 total seats in the Kansas Legislature House of Representatives will see a competitive race in the General Election cycle.
