COMMUNITY HOSPITAL SERVICES | 2012
The types of health care services provided by hospitals vary depending upon community needs and available resources. In 2012, 87 percent of community hospitals in Kansas reported having an outpatient surgery department and 40 percent reported having an MRI. Community hospitals throughout Kansas offer health services to improve the health status of their community.
In 2012, 67 percent of community hospitals reported providing health screenings, 63 percent provided breast cancer screenings and 58 percent a nutrition program. In addition, 40 percent offered linguistic and translation services and 36 percent offered tobacco treatment/cessation programs.
