What are the major changes associated with Kansas Medicaid?
The most significant change associated with the Kansas Medicaid program is the movement to a full managed care model.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) released by the State begins to integrate all Medicaid populations into managed care, including the long-term care and developmentally disabled populations. It is also the intent of the State to focus more on patient outcomes and savings.

The major changes outlined by the State associated with the transformation of Medicaid include:

* Name change to KanCare
* Person-centered care coordination
* Clearer accountability
* Agency streamlining
* Financing consolidation
