KSHIMSS Annual Spring Conference - April 23-24

KSHIMSS is an official affiliate of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society. Its mission is to foster professional growth, relationships, knowledge and collaboration among health care information management professionals throughout Kansas . The KSHIMSS chapter is working toward promoting an organized forum for continuing education and exchange of ideas amongst its members to improve health care information and management systems that support patient care and wellness.

The Kansas Healthcare Human Resources Association is an organization made up of persons professionally engaged in the human resources function of affiliated member institutions of the Kansas Hospital Association. The Association is divided into six districts statewide, each with its own executive board representative.

KHA Workers' Compensation Fund Board Meeting - May 5

The primary objective of the KHA Workers' Compensation Fund is to provide moderately priced workers' compensation insurance to KHA members. The fund Administrator and Safety Program Manager enhance customer service. The individual pool members for each plan year are considered the owners of the KHA-WC pool for that year. They are eligible for premium refunds and are responsible for potential assessments.

Healthworks has a 13-member board of directors. KHA is the sole member of Healthworks. The directors are KHA members and others who support the vision and values of the Foundation. Since 1969, Healthworks has played an important role in helping KHA achieve its mission and vision.

KHSC Board Meeting - May 26

KHSC is a wholly owned subsidiary of KHA. Therefore, a secondary objective of KHSC is to support KHA in meeting its mission of serving hospitals. Its mission is to provide enhanced value to KHA members by evaluating and endorsing selected vendors of services needed by the KHA membership. KHSC will be a valuable resource to Kansas healthcare facilities and the Kansas Hospital Association as they serve their constituents.

KHA Board Retreat - May 27-29

KHA has a 21-member board of directors. They meet at least five times a year. Each board member holds three-year terms, with a two-term limit. The board has a composition of members from all geographic areas of Kansas all sizes and types of member hospitals are represented. The board also includes two hospital trustees and two physician members. Other participants include the American Hospital Association delegate.

The Rural Health Symposium is held in conjunction with Rural Health Day. Since 2011, the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health has set aside the third Thursday of November to celebrate the Power of Rural.

Virtual MBQIP Basics - Nov. 24
